At that point, an additional locomotive was also added to the front. The historical Pennsy signals are rumored to be replaced before the week is over as workers continue west with the signal replacement, 4-5-19.
  • Westbound train 25V had to stop just East of Tipton to add helpers after losing power on one of their locomotives. The backup caused Eastbound trains to be routed on track 3, which is usually for Westbound so the helpers could get to the stalled train, 4-5-19.
  • A helper set heads East through Tipton, under the automatic signals that will soon be removed in favor of a modern setup. The set is headed to meet a struggling 25V that lost power on one of its units East of Huntingdon. The helpers will intercept the 25V just East of this photo location, 4-5-19.
  • NS local C42 heads East under the automatic signals at Barree. The signals are next on the list to be replaced as MOW crews work west, replacing the Pennsy era signals with positive train control cab signals, 4-5-19.
