The New Hampshire Northcoast Southbound D8 is seen passing Union Meadows in Wakefield with 23 loads for Boston Sand & Gravel, 12-30-19.

  • New England Southern is seen headed North with 8 loads, an unusually long train for them. Six of the cars are spine cars loaded with ties destined to be interchanged with Plymouth & Lincoln for a tie replacement project. The train is seen passing the old Boston & Maine depot in Northfield as the crew flags the busy unprotected crossing. The bridge is the town line and the head end is now in the town of Tilton, 4-22-20.

Nevertheless, twice a week the Nashua local brings cars up the bumpy branch to a customer in Bennington. As the train passes through Milford, a fallen branch has stopped them while they wait for a maintenance of way crew. Naturally, this was 100 feet short of the shot that I was hoping for at the aggregate plant.
