Maine
Read MoreCanadian Pacific 250 is seen coasting through Greenville, Maine along Moosehead Lake with Central Maine & Quebec power including the Bangor & Aroostook heritage unit. CP bought the Central Maine & Quebec last year but due to a power shortage, some of the CMQ “barns” have been regularly seen on the Montreal to Brownville train. Ironically this line was originally Canadian Pacific before being sold 20 years ago. Likewise, the SD40-2F locomotives were built for the CP in 1988. They were purchased by the CMQ in 2015. Greenville is a popular place during Winter as it is nestled at the Southern edge of Moosehead Lake. Snowmobile riders and ice fisherman are frequent sights. In the background, snowmobile races are being held on the frozen lake, 2-20-21.
