  • Shot from a spot that was quite the adventure to get to, Pan Am local BO-1 is seen headed from Boston to Peabody crossing over Chelsea Creek into Revere. The local freight usually makes this trip twice a week traveling on the old Boston & Maine "Eastern Route." Almost all of the traffic on this line today is made up of commuter rail trains traveling from Boston to Newburyport and Rockport. Once upon a time ago, blue Geeps were a common sight on these rails as the Boston & Maine serviced the many customers along this line and branch lines, 5-19-20.

Although I haven't seen a train when eating there, I knew there was a shot to be had with the old mill. Today's EDPO is seen passing the complex known as 'The Mill." Photographer's Note: I wanted to capture the top of the stack, but the chain-link fence limits the way the photo can be framed, 5-17-20.
