  • The power for Pan Am train AYPO is seen passing the old Lawrence passenger station. The crew is headed to pick up two additional locomotives and a cut of cars for Portland. The crew will then shove that cut back to their train and continue East, 3-27-21.
  • Holt & Bugbee, manufacturers of custom millwork and flooring has been in business since 1825. The Tewksbury facility, which was opened in 1994 lies next to the Pan Am freight main. Although there is a siding it is rarely if ever used and looks to be in a state of disrepair. The competition in the foreground seems to have won this battle.   • Lawrence-based local LA-3 is seen picking up an empty spine car as they work customers inside "The Shops." This area, known formally as Iron Horse Park is the site of Pan Am Railway's headquarters. The large brick building to the right was the Boston & Maine Billerica Shops where the B&M performed heavy repairs on its locomotive fleet as far back as the steam era. Today the structure is in major disrepair. The railroad still services a handful of customers inside the complex, most often switched by the Sunday-Thursday LA-3 job, 1-31-21.
