Boston, MA - 2nd Alarm, Quincy Market, 5-9-03

Shortly after 3:30 PM, on May 9th, 2003 Box 12-1254 was struck for a fire at the Quincy market building, downtown. The first alarm consisted of Engines 4, 8, and 10. Ladders 1,and 24. Tower Ladder 3, Rescue 1, Division 1, and Car 3. Car 3 was first to arrive and reported smoke showing. A few minutes later Deputy Chief Martin Fisher struck the 2nd alarm. This consisted of Engines 3, 7, 39, and 50. Ladders 15, 17,and 18. Car 4 as the 2nd Alarm chief, and Car 9 as the Network Chief. In addition several support units also responded. these included the Lighting Unit(H2), the Command Post, the Rehab Unit(W25), and the Air Supply Unit(W12).The fire was contained to 3 restaurants, and the building reopened the next day.
